Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

• Account info: Name, email address, and profile image from your Google account (via Google OAuth).
• Uploaded images: Reference images you submit for model generation. These are processed by our AI and stored temporarily during generation.
• Generated models: Lua scripts, GLB files, and thumbnails produced from your images.
• Payment info: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and transaction records.
• Usage data: Credit usage, generation history, generation count, and job metadata.
• Comments: Text content you post on public models, along with your user ID and timestamp.
• Display name: Custom name you set in settings, shown publicly on comments, models, and your profile.
• Cosmetic preferences: Your equipped name effects, colors, and badges.
• Donation history: Whether you have donated (shown publicly as a badge). The exact amount is only visible to you.
• IP address: Recorded at signup for abuse prevention (duplicate trial detection).

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the service: generate models, manage credits, process payments, display comments and profiles.
• To prevent abuse: rate limiting, duplicate account detection, comment moderation, edit rate limiting.
• To improve the service: aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (including model edit and display name change events).
• To display public profiles: your display name, generation count, reputation tier, donor status (yes/no), and equipped cosmetics are visible on your public profile page.

We do not use your uploaded images or generated models to train AI models. Uploaded images are processed by third-party cloud services to generate 3D models and are not retained after processing.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third parties, only as needed to provide the service:

• Google — OAuth authentication (name, email, profile image).
• Stripe — Payment processing (Stripe handles all card data).
• Google Cloud — Infrastructure hosting and processing.
• Neon — Database hosting (stores account and model metadata).

4. Data Storage & Retention

• Account data is stored as long as your account exists.
• Generated models (GLB, Lua, thumbnails) are stored in Google Cloud Storage. Editing a model overwrites the previous version — no version history is kept.
• Uploaded images are processed during generation and not permanently stored after the job completes.
• Edit and display name change events are logged for rate limiting and analytics purposes.
• Comments are stored as long as the model they are attached to exists. Deleting a model deletes all its comments.
• You can delete your generated models and your own comments at any time from your dashboard.

5. Your Rights

You may:

• Access your data via your dashboard (models, credits, billing).
• Delete your generated models at any time.
• Request account deletion by emailing support@studforge.org. We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — session authentication tokens required for the service to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Children

StudForge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
